What Is an Instagram Story Viewer?

Will someone know I viewed their story?
No. StoryLurk never uses your Instagram account, so your name won't appear in their viewer list, and they won't get a notification.
Do I need an Instagram account or password?
No. StoryLurk never asks for your Instagram username or password, and there's nothing to sign up for. Just type the username of the public account you want to see.
Can I view private Instagram accounts?
No. StoryLurk only shows content that's already public. Private accounts, close-friends stories and subscriber-only posts can't be viewed, and we don't try to get around Instagram's login or privacy settings. If an account is private, you'll see a message saying so.
Do you keep a history of the accounts I search?
No. We don't save your searches or link them to you. To help pages load faster, we keep a short-term copy of public content, but it isn't tied to you or your device.
How do I download an Instagram story?
Search the username, stay on the Stories tab and tap Download under the story. Photos save as image files and videos as MP4. On iPhone, look in the Files app under Downloads. On Android, check your Downloads folder.
Why don't I see any stories?
Stories disappear 24 hours after they're posted, so the account may have nothing up right now. Check the Highlights tab for stories the owner chose to keep, or the Posts tab for their regular posts.
